Over The Sea to…..

My husband is a QHSE advisor – Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Systems. Working in the oil industry, as most folk do in Aberdeenshire, this involves a bit of travel. Thankfully, George has to fly to the places he visits – Stavangar, Bergen, Abu Dhabi – but some poor souls have to travel to Shetland or to the rigs in supply vessels. In the North Sea. He came across some videos of what sea transport is like up here. I hope you enjoy them.

I think you might agree with me that these men – and women – deserve every penny they get. Now, where’s the travel sickness pills…?

I thought our ferry trip to Stornoway in gale force wind with waves crashing over the bows and the observation lounge was rough – but not like that!
