Demolition Mum

We were chatting about how so many of our past homes & places of work were no longer there.

Me: Our house in Carntyne is still standing.

Mum: Oh, they houses will stand ’til they’re knocked down.

No refuting that logic.

There’s always the ‘fall down on their own at the first bit of wind’ option. Friends on Skye told me of an incomers self-build that did just that!

Wow! Those are either very strong winds or very bad builders!

Oh your mum is funny. I lived in Shettleston and then moved to Barlarnock just up the road from Carnyne. The Barlanark house is now pulled down and my brother who still lived there has moved to a new build in South Carntyne. It’s a small world.
