Many thanks to the lovely Ange Barton who bestowed the Versatile Blogger Award on me today. I had just got in after a stressful shopping expedition with my mum so this was just the tonic I needed – thanks again, Ange x

Now I have to tell you seven facts about myself and pass the award on to seven other bloggers.

Here goes!

1. I love cats but am incredibly allergic to them. They give me not just a slight wheeze but a bad case of hives and a chest tighter than, well, a cat’s a-hole.
2. When I was wee, Jimmy Tarbuck tweaked my cheek. We were in Blackpool and after seeing him on stage my mum was running with the crowds to meet him and get an autograph. I ran after her, pulling at her skirts to be picked up. Once in her arms, Jimmy tweaked my cheek and said, “Who’s this then?” I burst into tears. Well, can you blame me?
3. I can wriggle my left ear. Not my right. Go figure.
4. I like to have a system. Having a system gives me comfort and security. Where would we be without systems? For example, when loading the boot with my Tesco bags, I put the heaviest bags diagonally opposite the side where I sit and the lighter bags behind me. This is so the car is more balanced and Is Important. If someone heavier than me is in the passenger seat, Bags Will Be Arranged Appropriately. A system. You know it makes sense.
5. My favourite book is Cloud Atlas and I am a little in love with its author, David Mitchell.
6. I’d love to have been an archaeologist. I love history and touching old things. Insert your own joke here. Indiana Jones was an idol and to discover artefacts and new understanding of the past… it just blows my mind.
7. I’d really like to be a spy. I love to ‘know’ things and knowing secrets is the best thing of all. And I never, ever tell. You ask my friends. I can always be trusted. I also like to travel, wear smart clothes and drink cocktails. Perfect qualifications. So, if MI6 is listening, I’m available during school hours and alternate Saturdays.
